Executive Rooms at Dusit Thani Hotel, Manila, Philippines

We stayed at the Dust Thani Hotel in Manila over the New Year’s Eve weekend of 2018 and it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience and stay ~ not to mention excellent value for money!!! We booked the Executive package for 3 nights including the NYE countdown party. Upon arrival at the front desk in the lobby, we were escorted up to the Executive desk on the 16th floor where we were promptly assisted and explained about everything that our package included. The ladies at this desk look the part, and are always smiling and willing to help ~ compliments and thanks to Aira and Andrea for their professional & friendly service! We then made our way to the rooms with our luggage delivered very soon afterwards. The suites are really big and spacious with a big bathroom, sitting room area and bedroom. The rooms are equipped with all the amenities like toiletries, fridge, safety deposit box, fresh fruit and free drinking water. The package included use of the lounge on the 17th floor throughout the day, where coffee, tea, soft drinks and some small snacks could be enjoyed. It also included a cocktail hour, with free flow alcohol and a very nice and suitably extensive buffet of hot and cold snacks and food. This varied from day to day to prevent it from becoming a bit boring. Airene is one of the ladies working here and she was a delight with a good sense of humor and great & friendly service. (A slight negative about the lounge, they allow kids during the cocktail hour ~ one night I counted 12 children with a few very young ones crying and making noise, which distracted and took away a bit from the luxury and exclusivity of being in the lounge.) The breakfast could be enjoyed on the Executive floor with slightly more limited options, or downstairs in the main restaurant with a bigger selection of food. This was a busy weekend with a lot of guests staying at the hotel, so we chose to enjoy breakfast on the Executive floor where is was less hectic and crowded, only the last morning we went downstairs when it was a big less busy and crowded. The NYE party was held in the lobby ~ we paid extra for a table with snacks & a bottle of Champagne. This was a bit of a hit and miss ~ the set up and planning and organizing was spot on and no complaints about this …… Unfortunately the choice of live music was not what we had expected. If there is anything that can be improved with regards the next countdown party, please try to hire a different DJ for the warm up and another live band to entertain the guests! All in all, this was a fun weekend with friends in a great hotel - my favorite hotel in Manila - and as always they lived up their standards of good service, friendly smiles, good value for money & making me look forward to my next stay there!
