Courtyard by Marriott, Bangkok, Thailand

This hotel is great value for money, aimed at the business market and very centrally located just off Sukhumvit Road and walking distance from Ratchadamri BTS & Chitlom BTS. The also have a tuk-tuk doing drops offs at these 2 stations.
We arrived very late/early at the hotel, around 4am, thanks to the inefficiency of the immigration staff at Suvarnabhumi airport, only to find out that there is a problem with our reservation.
Thankfully the Duty Manager Mr Sedan, and the front desk staff Ms Mill, took care of this quickly and efficiently and we made our way to the room for some much needed rest.
We had the Executive Package, which is a bit more expensive then the basic Deluxe rooms, but the perks and extras are definitely worth spending a bit more.
The package includes:
~ Option of breakfast downstairs or upstairs on the Executive floor
~ Afternoon tea time on the Executive floor
~ Cocktail hour on the Executive floor
The Executive lounge breakfast provides a bit smaller selection of self help and buffet food, but main courses like eggs and omelettes, can be ordered beforehand and served at a specified time. The advantage of having breakfast here is that it is much calmer, quieter and more relaxed.
The breakfast downstairs is served in the MoMo cafe ~ it has a really huge extensive selection of food and lots of different options of eggs, fruit, juice, etc to choose from, but it is also noisy and a bit hectic & busy most of the time.
Afternoon tea consists of some snacks (changed daily) & fruit, coffee, tea, juice and soft drinks.
Cocktail hour (actually 2 hours) guests can enjoy wines, beers, cocktails, some hard liquor, tea, coffee & soft drinks. The food and snacks are also changed daily to provide some variety.
The rooms are nice & big and comfortably furnished and decorated. The showers are a decent size and even have seats, though no bathtubs. The rest are all standard amenities like slippers, robes, safety deposit boxes, fridge, coffee/tea facilities and free drinking water.
The pool is a bit on the small side, but sufficient to take a dip and cool down. There is also a small gym with a surprisingly extensive range of workout equipment.
This is a decent hotel with friendly and efficient staff, great location and good value for money.
