Le Flam Restaurant, Taipei, Taiwan
We just went for dinner at a cute little French restaurant in Shihlin, Taipei.
The restaurant is walking distance from the Jientan MRT and in close proximity to the Shihling tourist night market.
The restaurant is decorated in a simple, almost minimilast fashion with French posters on the walls, a wine display area and can seat about 30-35 people.
They have a good selection of French food what I have not come across at other restaurants in Taipei, which I am sure gives them a bit of an advantage. My favorite by far was the Le Fermière flam (creme fraiche, chicken, mushroom, emmental cheese) ~ it was flavorful, tasty and the aromatic smell of the cheese was just amazing!
All in all the food was good, tasty and something different & new in Taipei. Prices are reasonable and the portions are decent sized. Everything pictured is what we ordered for 2 people, was filling and cost about NT900. We had the pasta as well which was not on the menu, so it seems like they have occassional dishes of the day. We also tried the selection of desserts - which included tiramisu, cheesecake, chocolate brownie and creme brulee and also includes a drink of choice. The portions are a little bit smaller when ordered like this - compared to a single portion order from the menu which is a bigger portion.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant just to go try something else ~ and for the Le Fermière flam!
